Originally built in 1885 the one time Woolworth Building, located at the corner of Queen and Yonge in Toronto, . Working in collaboration with Zeidler Partnership Architects and ERA Architects has been restored to its original grandeur

The HIDI Group provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing design for the restoration, redevelopment, and expansion of the 125 year old heritage building. The redevelopment includes multiple floors of retail, office space and a roof top restaurant, comprising of 63,200 ft². In addition to MEP scope we added a tie in to the District Energy cooling system via the Toronto Eaton Centre.

Once completed, 2 Queen Street West will be a new connection between Yonge Street and the south entrance of the Eaton Centre. In addition to working with the Eaton Centre team coordination with TTC was also required.
