The 68,864 ft² Haskayne Legacy Park Pavilion is an educational centre designed to provide the community with an opportunity to develop their social, educational and event experience through nature and the Bow Valley ecosystem. Located within the 360-acre property the Haskayne Legacy Park is the newest greenspace developed by the City of Calgary.
Working with Nyhoff Architecture, The HIDI Group provided mechanical and plumbing design for the $1.75 Million community structure. Built in accordance with the National Energy Code for Buildings with the aim to achieving net zero performance. By using a geothermal heating (only) system and its relatively low energy loads, the facility is able to reduce its carbon footprint at it aims to be Calgary’s first net zero building.
