The HIDI Group provided base building mechanical, plumbing and electrical design for multiple projects at RBC York Mills Centre. The overall ‘RBC Moonstruck’ project spans 250,000 ft² and is valued at over $20 million. The building is LEED Gold Certified.
Our scope of work included a Critical Systems Upgrade commprising new generator and UPS systems; Air Handling Units Upgrade and DCR Cooling Systems; Chiller Replacement and B52 Code Refrigeration Room Ventilation; Building Fans Upgrade with review penthouse, custom air handling unit, upgrade sheet metal duct risers; a large number of tenant fit-outs; and miscellaneous renovations.
A challenging schedule that allowed eight months for design and construction was achieved by pre-purchasing long lead items. The project also included the design of a special Power Monitoring System for all RBC critical equipment.
