The HIDI Group provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing and communications design for this Alternative Financing and Procurement (AFP) pursuit, designed by B+H Architects. The $200 million, 600,000 ft² healthcare facility included 20 autopsy rooms, five floors, vehicle extraction bays, forensics labs, full-size ballistics shooting range, a laboratory, containment, autopsy, pathology, courtrooms and administrative offices.

The scope on the mechanical side included generator system, fire protection system, heating plant, system plant, cooling plant, air distribution system, pneumatic air tube transportation and BAS, while plumbing covered cold and hot water systems, sanitary and laboratory drainage, storm drainage, natural gas, pure water, compressed air, laboratory vacuum, and speciality gases.  The electrical scope included electrical distribution, UPS system, emergency and backup system, fire alarm system, lighting control, indoor parking lighting, telecommunications systems.
