The Four Season Madrid is Spain’s first Four Seasons Hotel, located in the heart of the city, Puerta del Sol, Centro Canalejas, Madrid, The Hotel merges seven historic buildings, which date back to 1887, to create the 280,000 ft² luxury hotel which includes 200 ultra-luxe guestrooms, 22 private residences, and 100 underground parking spaces, 161,458 ft² of retail space and 43,055 ft² of restaurants.
The HIDI Group provided Schematic Design and Peer Review consulting services for mechanical, electrical, plumbing communications, security, while commissioning was executed by HRCx. The HIDI Group developed the preliminary concepts of the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection (MEP) systems to evaluate the appropriate systems for use on the project and continued the design until completion of the Schematic Design. Thereafter, local MEP consulting engineers continued the preparation of detailed design and construction documents while The HIDI Group carried out periodic peer reviews to ensure that the design intent was achieved. HIDI’s Communications team provided design and specifications for the project, including the active ethernet networking design, wi-fi, PBX/voice systems and IPTV. HIDI’s Security team prepared design documentation in association with local specialists, which included segregation of the project into hotel, Residential and Retail systems. Multiple coordination visits to Madrid were carried out during the design and construction of the project.
The Four Seasons Madrid is just another project in the long relationship we have with the Four Seasons Hotel and Resort Brand.
