Located on the southwest corner of Lakeshore and Colonel Samuel Smith Park Drive the new Welcome Centre serves as a gateway to Humber College’s Lakeshore campus. Designed by Moriyama & Teshima Architects, its functions as the first stop for new students and visitors, the Centre is destined to be the focal point of the Lakeshore Campus.

The development houses a variety of student services including the Academic and Career Success Centre; Student Life; Interpretive Centre; Counselling; Disability and Health Centre; Aboriginal and Multi-Faith Centres; Test Centre; Data Centre; and HR/Principal’s Offices. The building features a grand entrance walkway and is complete with underground parking. It is LEED silver certified to meet the Institution’s sustainability objectives. The building also includes a 12 cabinet Data Centre on the top floor which acts as a DR site to the main Data Centre at the campus in Etobicoke

The HIDI Group provided mechanical, electrical, lighting by Alula Lighting Design, audiovisual (AV), communications and security design for this 45,000 ft² facility.
