The Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort or commonly known as Fallsview opened in 2004, the 1 billion dollar complex overlooks the horseshoe falls on the Canadian side of the falls and has become a prominent feature on the skyline. Built on the site of a transformer station the new casino has incorporated the 1904 heritage building to the east façade of the complex. Designed by Zeidler Partnership Architects in partnership with B+H Architects the casino boasts 3,000,000 ft² multi-use casino complex includes retail space, a galleria, food court, convention and exhibition space, a 170,000 ft² casino, a 350-room hotel, a 1,500 seat multi-use theatre, as well as back of house amenities and a 1,600,000 ft² parking garage.
