THUNDER BAY CORRECTIONAL COMPLEX

HRCx is providing building commissioning services for the new Thunder Bay Correctional Complex, The facility will be one of the largest and most technologically advanced infrastructure projects ever built in Ontario. The new complex will be replacing two aged facilities and in additional to having 345 beds will use new automation and technology to address issues of health, safety and security.

 

Special care will be taken in the design of the facility to address behavioral and mental health housing, improved programing, healthcare services and incorporation of indigenous design.

 

The project will be targeting LEED Silver.
