Chris is a Managing Principal, Western Canada, with over 20 years of consulting experience and a passion for sustainable design. He takes an active role in each and every project, working closely with the design team to maximize passive design strategies and implement the most applicable energy efficient HVAC and water conserving plumbing systems. Chris successfully evaluates alternate systems in terms of energy performance, controllability, and occupant comfort. He has also been involved in numerous phased renovation projects for critical facilities that remain operational throughout construction. Chris was the HVAC Project Principal for the LEED Platinum Manitoba Hydro Place, and has worked on various projects for the University of Calgary and Chinook Regional Hospital. Recipient of various Consulting Engineers of Alberta (CEA) Awards, these include an Award of Excellence for Sustainable Design for Manitoba Hydro Place and Awards of Merit for G.S. Lakie Middle School and West Lethbridge Centre. Chris is currently leading high sustainability and technology-driven projects such as the King Edward Arts Hub and Incubator and the Lethbridge College Trades and Technology Renewal and Innovation Project.
